Resurrection Day, not Easter bunny day

Easter is no longer a celebration of the new life that our Savior has given us, at least in America. Surprise, surprise, we have distorted YET ANOTHER holiday. I asked children what holiday was coming up at a childcare place that I volunteer at, and their answer was, of course, Easter. When I asked them what Easter was about, they said the Easter Bunny. Now, it is fine to have Easter Egg Hunts, in fact, this brings in people who normally wouldn't go to church, but just like Christmas, we need to inform (not only children, but adults) that the reason behind Easter is truly a joyous celebration and the reason behind our hope. I am taking notes, for my children, and I hope that others will opt to do the same.

Jesus, again is the reason for the season. Let's remember that, at least a little more than the Easter bunny.

Happy Resurrection Day!

Hello, world

My name is Kerri Guinn and I am nineteen years old. I am madly in love with my Savior and King, Jesus Christ, and am in a family of 6. I enjoy knitting, running and well, anything in which my life is not threatened. I am a sophomore at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and currently work at a daycare. I love life and spending it with friends.
